This is my latest "like". My youngest son is seeing this guy tonight and again on Monday. He doesn't visit the UK much so he wants to get his fill while he's over here!

anyone like instrumental, gentle African kora music, as played by Toumani Diabaté and his son, Sidike? I saw them at the royal festival hall and they were wonderful.
This is sad, but I think beautiful. Lampedusa. Let it go until they get going a few seconds in

electric blues from Keb Mo' - can't find a live version which has decent audio. No man should look this good at 63. T'ain't fair

This is my track of the day and is in memory of my friend who we said goodbye today. He was a great scholar and philosopher, well read and well travelled with a love of history and good food and wine, real ale and bad women and we will all miss him dearly. This was the only music played during the service

.
We often talked of people's last words and his favourite was by the 14th century author and philosopher Francois Rabelais who supposedly uttered with his last breath - "I go to seek a Great Perhaps".

I really like this track and the video. Mad friends of mine - always fun. This song was written after the singer met a guy in Amsterdam who had just found out that his girlfriend of six weeks was a "lady of the night". You might like them Hurdity if you haven't seen them perform already?

Hadn't heard of Adrian Nation before but saw him on Sky's Guitar Star and seems he is quite well known in folk/roots circles.

He's a good guitarist oldsheep - somewhat reminscent of some of the early 70's guitarists like Gordon Giltrap.
....I thought you might be, Taz
I just saw these guys this week at a gig nearby - they won the Radio 2 folk awards for best group. Amazing harmonies and powerful lyrics!

Just caught up with this thread - what a brilliant optimistic song. I love it! Don't think I've heard this one of his. It's really cheered me up this morning
