Yep. Kind of a blood sugar 'drop' in that the body suddenly requires an energy boost with nowt to draw upon. Hormones can certainly cause this ..... which is why, in the 1990s, The National Association for Pre-menstrual Syndrome advised me to eat every 3 hours, 24/7. Even in the night! It's a habit that I try to stick with these days so have snacks to hand when travelling. Or walking we have fruits/nuts and Dextrose tablets. Some like Kendal Mint Cake
