Allergic reaction
« on: January 29, 2024, 05:10:13 PM »

Hi, I am new to this forum. Can I ask, has anyone had any allergic reaction changing from Evorel Sequi to Evorel Conti?

Hi!   what kind of reaction?  Was it immediate or did it take a while B4 you realised ?

Also, why was it necessary for your GP to suggest a change of HRT?

Hi THankyou for responding. It was a couple of days after putting the first conti patch on, My skin on limbs was raised, extremely itchy and red, it was during the night and kept me up for several hours. I have been on high doses of antibiotics so the cause of the allergy is unknown. I thought I would ask if anyone else had had a similar experience from the patches.

Just seen your second question, I just had a review with out HRT nurse and she recommended Conti as I am 55 and have not had a period for over a year.

Not on the change but I did develop an allergic reaction to evorel several months in. I would see your gp and ask for something else, allergic reactions rarely go away. I have been fine with gel and estradot.
