Oh no!!!!
I think I remember you can’t send messages until you have commented on a certain number of posts! Maybe 6?
How are you feeling? X

Hello, I'm feeling a bit low today. I had a call yesterday from my specialist and although she agreed to give me more estrogen, I kind of felt like she thought I was making it up, and that my symptoms are COVID symptoms, not low estrogen. I mean, how can COVID cause vaginal atrophy?!! :(
I think going private might be my best option. How are you doing? xxx

Hiya I have sent you a private message hopefully you will be able to pick it up now x

Hello Pippa,
Thank you for taking the time to message me. Unfortunately, I can't reply as I'm new to the forum. I'm sorry you went through this too. It does sound like you're doing better, which is so good to hear. When did you have COVID and how long did it take you to notice an improvement in your hormones? xx

Oh no I’m really sorry you are going through this. Going private was a good decision for me, I finally feel validated. When I was originally going to my GP symptoms despite having an FSH of 84 they still thought I was “too young” as I was in my thirties. They basically gave me HRT just to shut me up it was evident they thought I was making it up.
I hear you and I agree with you, I’m not a dr but I am also someone who has been through this.
Look at Dr Sarah Glynne as this is her exact area! She is working with loads of women with long Covid and menopause and the overlap.
Go and comment on some other posts and then you should be able to DM ha ha xx

Hi sjpercy 3 - no problem re the message hopefully soon you will be able to respond to pm's on here. :)  I had Covid 10 weeks ago and it took the change of dose etc to improve things but over the last week things are beginning to improve.  I hope so much you will start to feel better soon and get the help and support that you need .  I went private too as sadly there was nowhere else to ask or go xx

Don't get me started on getting a diagnosis of POI! Sorry to hear you had a bad experience too. Thank you, I will check her out!
Haha, I will do that, I'll drop you a message once I've moved up a level!  ;) xx

This is interesting.

I caught Covid December 8th. Ive 'recovered' from the virus but still have a bit of a cough however I have been on a slow slide of peri symptoms since then which I couldnt reconcile with anything.

The last few days I feel like I did before taking HRT - its been really really awful. Its like I am taking nothing at all! Ive een at my wits end and very very low.

I am on a 75 Estradot patch and Utrogestan. I do have some spare 25 patches and some gel so I think that in the interim I am going to up dose. It sounds like Covid knocks out the levels or oestrogen receptors for a bit. I feel a teeny bit better in my self having read this because I honestly didnt know what I was going to do. Yeesh. Every woman on HRT should be aware of this.

Hey Moog77
This is exactly what happened to me, my estrogen levels plummeted (from 450-110) after Covid and no change to HRT. Unfortunately I have never recovered abd 2 years down the line my estrogen is lower than ever. I’m potentially getting the Estradiol implant so will be interesting to see if that helps.
There is a lot of research coming through about long Covid and menopause it will keep you busy if you want to go down the rabbit hole 😂
Good luck x
