I have been reading the BMS page about progesterones trying to figure out if I should be using 200mg or 100mg Cyclogest per night on a continuous regime (with 50mcg Estradot patch). Having read this I think it is saying 100mg is sufficient - under the 'preparations and recommended doses' it says
Micronised progesterone
200 mg orally 12 days/cycle (cyclical)
100 mg PO daily (continuous combined)
But then goes on to list the preparations and lists Cyclogest 200mg only. Is this because 200mg is the smallest dose it is available in (as not licensed for hrt use) and would have to cut the pessary? or is it saying 200mg should be used? I think it is the former, but don't want to take too little progesterone.
