Hiya
In the last few days someone kindly advised of an organisation who did some short term anxiety work.
Think it was VITA something?

Can't find the thread now. If anyone's memory\brain fog is better than mine today can they remind me. Thanks all

Hi Penguin,

I did follow the link, it seems to be a self referral to IAPT ( improving access to psychological therapies)

I contacted IPAT a few months ago and had a follow up assessment. The waiting list, in my area at least, is 3-6 months so I am still waiting.

However, the assessment I assume would prioritise very severe\urgent cases. I had a course of CBT once but talking therapy would be better for me now.

I would say it is worth referring yourself to see if it would suit.

Ah okay, I've not long finished a course of cbt, thought it might be something different! Yeah talking therapy better for me now too, the cbt tools only get you so far hey x

I think you could contact them anyway, as you say cbt can only do so much,  and it did help me at the time. Just need something a bit more intense now.
 And they are happy to put people on the waiting list for talking therapy if they feel that is the best option.  Worth a self referral
