Need your experienced advice
« on: July 14, 2023, 12:42:39 PM »

 :)

Last 8 years I was on HRT (Estradot 50 and 100mg x 7 tablets each months). This year's New Meno specialist discharged me.

I am 49 years old and having monthly fake bleeding each month because of my hrt regime.

I would like to ask your advice , Ladies until what age i should have this fake montly bleeding ? Any benefit for me ?

Why i never tried continouse utrogestan , I am so sensitive even for 7 tablets each month giving me so much unpleasent side effect. (dizziness , lazyness, emotional ups and downs, body aches)

I dont want to stop my hrt
I dont want to use utrogestan everyday
I dont want to feel like a s.hit each month first week until the bleeding starts.
My GP useless about this subject
I dont have Meno specialist anymore

Maybe you could give me some direction , I feel so stress...

Thank you

Morning.  Or it might be afternoon  ::)

Which specialist clinic did U attend?  Why would you be discharged if you continue to have questions to ask?

Many are sensitive and find the progesterone difficult or impossible to tolerate.  I'm sure that others will be along to give advice as to how to proceed.  If you find that your regime helps, then stick with it for now?

Hi CLKD, Many thanks for your reply

I used to see Doctor Anthony Parson (he was God sent to me).I can not thank him enough.  I used to attend Meno Clinic in Coventry.
Unfortunate after COVID he decided to retired. He passed me to another Meno specialist (I waited 1 year) She even didn't see me , her assistant saw me and decided to discard me.
Maybe my age , maybe they we looking after me so long , maybe Nhs rule. not really sure why !

All the best

Laziness?   Could you find another Clinic if necessary?  I would be tamping had that happened in any speciality!

Hopefully some1 will be along with advice.

You can have the bleeding for as long as you prefer it, compared to having progesterone all the time or going without HRT at all.

These are my three options as well, so I take the HRT with as few days as possible of progesterone and I bleed each month.

I'll keep doing it until there's a better option available, even if I'm 80 and still bleeding, maybe.

Edit, maybe you'd be allowed tibolone? I'm trying to get it but I bleed too much for any conti. Tibolone is for postmenopausal women who aren't great with progesterone.

 ;)
Thank you so much for your reply..

I would love to use hrt as long as possible but sometimes side effects are making me weak to deal with my life...

My first meno specialist Mr Parson looked after me 8 years and tried every possible option to keep me healthy and happy. I am sure if Tibolone could help me he would try on me.
But many thanks for reminding me about it .
I am going to do some search and maybe ask for it.

Many thanks
