Sea buckthorn supplement
« on: May 21, 2023, 08:37:09 AM »

Does anyone take sea Buckthorn, I’m thinking of trying it to help with VA but just wanted to know if it’s ok to take alongside systemic HRT and Vagifem.

I also read it helps with Rosacea which would be an extra bonus for me.

Does it help.

I do. :) I also take HRT and Ovestin cream. I have found it helps me with vaginal dryness.

I do and have been for 3-4 years. I started taking it before I started HRT specifically for my dry eyes. I have avoided any obvious symptoms of VA, so far,  so I don't know if it has helped in that area without me knowing.

I buy Holland and Barret or Healthspan capsules.

I buy PharmaNord from H&B. I try and buy them when there is some sort of offer on as they are quite expensive.

I haven’t managed to find out if it helps with VA if you’ve had your cervix removed? I wasn’t sure what it stimulated.

Hello ladies.

I have also just bought some Sea Buckthorn Oil capsules and I also think they are expensive! The instructions are to take two capsules a day for two weeks and then one a day after that. No idea why!

My friend used to take them and she has never been on HRT. She had some Va symptoms but they were mild. I think she has since added some topical Oestrogen but only occasionally.

Let's hope we all see some improvements.

Take care ladies.

I agree with you there. They are expensive. It is handy when they have them on offer. The ones they sell on Amazon work out about £17 a month. I hope they work for you.

I previously took the H&B ones but recently started health and her menopause tablets which have sea buckthorn in, work out cheaper for me xx

I take the Pharma Nord ones and wouldn’t be without them, for VA and dry eyes.
