Blood levels and symptoms
« on: April 04, 2023, 08:33:34 AM »

Hi all - can you knowledgeable ladies tell me if your blood test for oestrogen levels is on the normal range but you feel dreadful but better on a lower dose is it better to stick to the lower dose?  My blood levels have gone up from 53 to 144 to 163 but I have never felt right long term on the level of 163.  I know I've read on here that it is better to go on symptoms rather than blood levels but the Meno specialist wants my levels to get up to over 200 but the hgher I went the worse I felt - was up to 70 but felt so ill had to drop back .  Am now on a 37.5 plus a 25 Estradot patch am 70 years old and had a full hysterectomy when I was 42.  Many thanks. x

Pippa I would go by symptoms, after all it's quality of life you are after. I can't remember did you ever try testosterone?
