Thank you so much. I’ll ask my surgeon. I worked with a colleague today. Who has had a hysterectomy also. She had to have an epidural before hers 😞 I really hope I don’t need one of those.

I shall keep you all updated.

You can raise that at your pre-op assessment.  I've been advised to avoid them because of another condition, so discussed it with the anaesthetist at pre-op & he was happy to work around it.  Medics know how stressful it can be going into hospital, they will want to put your mind at rest & the pre-op is a great opportunity to let them know any concerns you have. :)
