« on: October 07, 2022, 11:32:16 AM »

Does anybody suffer with quite severe pelvic pain almost all of cycle? My periods are all over the place and the pain does feel like severe period pain. Had ultrasounds and nothing has been found but I literally can't stand thi anymore it's ruining my life. TIA

As oestrogen levels drop muscles may become lax = aches and pains.  Have U tried pain relief B4 doing any exercise/house work?

Hi, yes but I'm limited as I have asthma so only taking paracetamol which don't really help. It's agony today. Gynaecology have just prescribed me the mini pill which I don't really want but at this rate I may have to try it as can't carry on like this it's horrible. It actually scares me some days. :-\

Could you see a dedicated menopause specialist, unless the Gynea is au fait with symptoms?

I'm seeing GP that specialises in women's health but I've got another 2 and half weeks to wait for my appointment. I'm hoping she will agree to HRT. 3 GP'S have refused to give me it for no apparent reason. I've been trying to get it for around 8 weeks now  :-\

How au fait is she with menopause though, this could be the start of a working relationship for you both.  Do tell her about MM where she can drop into.

Some find that keeping a mood/food/symptom diary of use to chart progress and give something to discuss with medics..

Why have 3 GPs refused - R they telling U that you are 'too young' for example?

She is pretty good usually with all things meno it's her area. 1 St GP Sent me to gynaecology so didn't want to give anything, 2nd said there waiting for the gynaecology letter and won't prescribe until that's back and to book in with the GP that I have the upcoming appointment with and the 3rd said need to wait for letter. I saw gyni nearly a month ago.just seem to be getting the run around round and round in circles!

That's fair enough if the GP needs to wait B4 prescribing.  Let us know how you get on.
