Dryness on Femoston
« on: August 21, 2022, 11:33:31 AM »

In a dilemma, some advice would be appreciated please……Changed from Everol 100 patch to Femoston 2/10 for a couple of months but my skin and scalp so dry.  I believe 2/20 equivalent to 50mg patch so guess not enough estoegen.  Has anyone else found this? Such a shame as actually feel better on tablets 😞 but can’t handle this dryness so thinking of going back to the patch.

Similar situation but was on femeston conti 1/5.

Loved the tablet and progesterone, BUT within 3 months, hands were so dry and cracking and my bladder went crazy. So, definitely not enough oestrogen there.

Had to revert back to patches and get a coil fitted due to bleeding.

So annoying, it’s the only progesterone I get on with.  Did you try the 2/10? What strength patch are you on? How quickly did the dryness go when you restarted the patch?

No i didn’t try the 2/10, probably should of.

I’m on a 75 patch with testosterone daily. The dryness soon resolved within a few days after stopping femeston.

Erm, well I don’t feel too bad. I’ve been on the patch for a fair while and only switched to femeston due to bleeding issues. I don’t absorb gel too well and find it a faff, so patches it is. I do think I would benefit from a bit more oestrogen, specialist isn’t overly keen as I’ve had breast cancer in the past. I’m hoping the testosterone will help with brain fog and stamina etc x

I couldn’t get on with the gel either.  I feel like I’m running out of options.  I’ve stuck a 75mg patch on today, feel sad as felt lots better on Femoston, always feel a bit rubbish on the patch.  Wonder what’s causing the dryness? Has anyone else had this???

What brand parch are you using? I’ve got Everol, wondered about trying femseven….

Maybe worth going back to femeston if you feel good on it?
Can’t you get around the dryness with some moisturising products? Does the femeston relieve your symptoms otherwise?

I also use Evorel. I tried Estradot but don’t get on with them.

I know when I was on femeston, my hands were so dry they were cracking in places and down below wasn’t much better!

That said, I’ve come to the change day of patch and feel horrendous.
Also feel options are limited and hormones are ruining my life  :-\
