I echo the bladder issues coinciding with reduced Oestrogen.
Back in February, my specialist decided to lower my dose of HRT from 75 patch to 1mg of femeston. Well, within days, the bladder had gone bonkers. Weeing every half an hour, day and night. Horrendous!

Now although back on the patches, I am not so sure they are working well for me. So, I took it off on Thursday and applied sandrena gel yesterday morning. Within hours, I’m weeing all day and night!!

So, now the patch is back on, to stop the weeing.

Going forward, I’ve no idea what to do, as the patch doesn’t really address much else for me!

Va is a brutal invisible demon! Never ever underestimate its power to make life hell!

God luck  :)

Hi Tora, yes sometimes it’s just a balancing act to alleviate those symptoms. I cannot tolerate a high dose of estrogen so have opted to take a lower dose and manage the VA/ bladder symptoms through the use of Ovestin/ vagifem etc. I’ve found through trial and error that this is the best way forward for me. It’s taken me a couple of years to get to this point but I now feel that it’s manageable and the awful burning pain symptoms are under control. And yes, the local estrogen will need to be taken for life to keep things under control. I just view using vagifem etc as part of my ‘beauty and skincare’ regime ha ha rather than as HRT! X

NAS - could you add a piece of patch rather than an extra full dose?
