Utrogestan and cramping.
« on: July 18, 2022, 01:24:43 PM »

Afternoon Ladies,
I’m 68 years old and been on oestrogel plus utrogestan for 14 days each cycle, so having a period.  On my consultants advice I’ve changed the utrogestan 200 to the utrogestan 100 and take it each evening. I’m still in my first month..…10 days to be exact…….and today I’m experiencing cramps and spotting. Is this normal when you change your regime?
Many thanks
Jeanne

What was there reason for altering the regime?  I suspect that the lesser hormone is causing the cramping.  Perhaps put the product name into the search box to see what pops up?

The consultant I spoke to said taking the utrogestan 100 continually had proven to be better at keeping the womb lining down.

Couldn’t reply earlier as I couldn’t find the ‘reply’ button!!

Many thanks

Hopefully the cramping has settled now? If the bleeding does not stop after a few months then you need to get checked out to ensure the lining is not thickening. I still remain on cyclical HRT and I am similar age to you.
