Hello ladies.
Not menopause I know but having been a member for a number of years I seek advice if you have any.
I am already losing my hearing some 10 years and wear hearing aides. I'm 59.
Yesterday I saw the optician- I do wear varifocals too but felt my vision had changed since last years test. The optician told me without doubt that I am heading towards Glaucoma...blimey.
Does anyone suffer from it, advice, guidance please. I am not diabetic or have any major health needs.
I feel sad and shocked that I may lose two senses as I get older....
Regards
Ms Peaks.
One a postive note to ladies that remember me. I married my delightful partner of 4 years in February x

Hi Ms. Peaks,
I remember you fondly and all that you went through 🙏 hope you are happy now x
Glaucoma - well I don’t know much but I’m on steroid drops for an 8nflmatory eye condition and know glaucoma is a risk factor of the steroid drops.
. My opthamologist tells me it can be managed quite successfully with drops and I have a friend who does just that, has regular checks and it’s well managed.
Hope it doesn’t progress too quickly 🙏
Congratulations on your marriage 🌺🌺

Hi Groundhog.
Thanks for you kind response.
I am very happy in life with the man of my dreams. Its 8 years in Sept since my eldest boy chose heaven- so missed in life. No changes with my DD but I accept it easier nowdays
Big hugs

Hi Ms Peak,
It's so good to heat that you married your lovely man - very happy making.
I do not have Glaucoma but my mum did, I think it was managed with eye drops.
I have frequent eye checks anyway given I have contact lenses. The importance of regular eye checks for me, given my family history, has been stressed by whatever optician I have ever seen.
