Continuous hrt
« on: May 27, 2022, 05:20:59 PM »

Hi I am new to this forum, aged 59 and haven't had a period since I was 44 after having an ablation.

I never knew when menopause would start after peri, five years ago I gained weight, gradually adding more and more symptoms as the months and years passed, which saw me discuss this with the GP, I only get the odd night sweats and no major hot flushes

GP prescribed Evorel Conti but after seeing many reviews on the bleeding side effect especially heavy bleeding, I don't want to revisit that scenario again hence the ablation, what advice would you offer as I'm getting tearful and hesitant to start any HRT regime

I am also serotonin sensitive so I cannot take SSRI IR SNRI  :'(

Hello DeeDee. Welcome to the forum. There are a lot of different options for HRT now. I understand you do not wish to bleed. I am sure members will be along soon with suggestions.  :)

Hi Evorel Conti is for post menopause so you shouldn’t bleed on it. x

Hi and welcome
Not all HRT causes bleeding.
Perhaps try a gel or spray ( or whatever you can get at the moment).

Depends what symptoms you want to try and alleviate?
