Hello lovely ladies
Could anyone give me their honest opinion on provera?, i have asked to start this to replace utrogestan as it gave me horrendous withdrawal symptoms and I mean BAD !

Hi Vicky81. I used Provera for years as treatment for endometriosis and have also used it in the past as the progestogen element of HRT. I got on absolutely fine with it. By way of a comparison, I could not tolerate either Norethisterone which is in Elleste or Levonorgestrel which is used in Femseven sequi/conti. Hopefully you will get on fine with it x

Hi Vicky81… i use provera as part of my hrt . I use gel also . Having tried numerous progesterones and hated them all especially utrogestan , provera is the only one i can tolerate. I have recently changed to a continuous regime . Good luck

It was 5mg every 10 nights of the month. And was on the patch, but because the patch didnt suit me, (gave me heavy head etc) i am now on Zoely pill. I am doing pretty well toi be faire...hope i am not jinxing it!
I hope you get on with Provera....let me know....Utrogestan was AWFUL!!!!!

I also couldn’t tolerate Utrogestan at all!! I take 2.5mg Provera once a night continuously and I currently use one pump Oestrogel. I’m 57 and post meno.
