62 and Hot flushes

 Hi I am new to the forum and already finding it really helpful and reassuring. I am 62 and started on Evorel Conti 12 months ago because of VA. All has been fine until 3 months ago when night flushes started - they had actually stopped 18 months ago!  GP increasing dose to Evorel 75 and added Utrogestan 100 mg which haven’t started yet. Can’t help wondering if it is the patches causing the problem as they had stopped before I started taking the HRT - has anyone experienced similar?

There is a small amount of oestrogen produced by the adrenals and fat cells that may be reducing. Also the ovaries produce a little post meno which declines so you may not reach your low point for some time post meno. How old were you when you last had a period? As long as the increased dose controls them I wouldn't worry too much.

Thank you - it is probably 10 years. Hopefully the new meds will sort me out
