Estradot increase symptoms, help!
« on: February 23, 2022, 01:29:36 PM »

Ladies,in January on advice of menopause specialist/ gynaecologist I increased Estradot to 125mcg from 100mcg and Utrogestan to vaginally from orally plus re-started testogel which I hadn’t used for months.
Blood test on 100mcg gave a reading of 288

The first few weeks were fine but now it’s like all my menopause symptoms have returned with a vengeance- constant debilitating  hot sweats and pounding heart palpitations so intense I’m waking several times a night, which leaves me groggy the next day due to sedative effect of U.

The gynae described my mood as ‘labile’  :(   I cry for absolutely no reason, my mood is so low I can feel myself sinking into that black hole, I can’t find joy in anything, I’m pushing away family and friends, surely this can’t be right?

My next appointment isn’t until the end of March so I’m hoping that someone can offer advice?

Should I carry on with current dosage?
Should I reduce the dosage?
Are my symptoms to be expected on an increase of Oestrogen?

Please help  :'(

I hav en't taken HRT but am aware that some rise and lessen their dosages through a week.  Sometimes the body can be overwhelmed by 'too much' so mayB drop the amount say, this evening and see how you go over the next few days?  If you have hormones joining in too, it may be that adjustment is required on a regular basis.
