Stupid Question?
«
on:
November 15, 2021, 02:26:50 PM »
I’ve just started on Utrogestan and I’ve been told to take 100mg for 25 days per cycle. I know this sounds stupid but do I assume a cycle to be 28 days? So start my next pack after a 3 day break?
Thanks in advance X

Yes it's a 28 day cycle. If you find you never bleed you can take it every day instead but this way allows a bleed if there's been a build up.

Hi the dose you have been prescribed is for post menopause , but the up to date guidance is to take 100mg every day.
If you are peri menopausal then the dosage is 200mg for days 15-26 of a 28 day cycle. x

This dose seems to be prescribed to women who are late peri whose cycles have mostly stopped.
