Elleste duet conti
« on: November 15, 2021, 08:17:36 AM »

Morning is anyone currently on this tablet. I originally took with great results in 2018 but then switched to Femoston. I think as my own estrogen was dropping I may not have been getting enough from the tablet. I've been trying to find anything to help me through this time. I'm post menopause since 2016 but things are still awful. Anxiety and insomnia are really bad. I'm now on Lenzetto and utrogestan and androfem recently added 2 weeks ago. I am deliberately trying the tablets again as this was the best I ever felt on any HRT but not sure if it is considered outdated compared to the sprays etc... thoughts welcome

Hi Sazzle - it may be that when you took Elleste Duet, because you were more recently menopausal, as you say it worked better because you still had more of your own oestrogen and perhaps your own natural oestrogen levels have now fallen meaning you are experiencing symptoms? This could well be a reason.

Also though if you are taking progesterone continuously - this could also be the cause of some symptoms persisting. Some women are more sensitive to progesterone. There is no way I would want to take progesterone every day for example. I take it cyclically. It does disturb my sleep. You might want to think about a cycle buit this entails having a bleed....

I don't know what anxiety is that is talked about a lot on here. It depends what form this takes and how often. It may not be connected with oestrogen or it may be!

How long have you been on the Lenzetto combo?

ALso depends on your age - tablets are not necessarily outdated but the progestogen in synthetic in Elleste (as well as Femoston though the latter is closer to our own progesterone than the one in Elleste). If you are over 60 then tablets are not recommended though if you have no other risk factors for cardiovascular disease/stroke etc then risks are thought to be less.

Thanks Hurdity
I am 52 and post menopause since 2016. I just don't know what to do as been feeling so rough all this year. I have been on Lenzetto since August as previously on gel got up to 4 pumps and levels were 89. Then went to 2 sprays of Lenzetto and they were 79
After upping to 5 sprays levels 198 and Meno specialist said symptoms should be improving. I wake up at 4am every night with anxiety and pretty much free on edge all day. I'm now signed off work as so bad. I added androfem for a couple of weeks but hair really greasy
I don't know if 5 sprays are too much. I want to sleep, get up feeling like I can face the day and get my sense of humour back. I really am not the person I was it feels so cruel. No libido or lust for life. Don't know whether to swap back to tablets and see how I feel. Thanks for listening

Hi Sazzle
I was on evorel conti until 2 years ago, I then cut down to half patch as had some headaches, then stopped completely June 2020,all good for 3 months then hit but terrible health anxiety and heart palpitations. Went on femseven conti in July and symptoms are very up and down some days I feel almost ok others like this week no sleep and terrible anxiety.

So not sure if it is menopause or not, bewildering >:(

I know what you mean. I'm just not doing great with the Lenzetto etc I was really hoping that would be my life saver.
