« on: August 12, 2021, 06:01:43 PM »

Is anyone on more than 3 sprays of Lenzetto? I have a friend who uses 5.

I was told by a Menopause Specialist not to go over the 3 sprays. I am using it in addition to wearing two 100 mcg Oestrogen patches though.

What they have done is add Testosterone to the mix and if I’m honest, I am now feeling better than I have for about 18 months! Long may it last  :cheer:

Did you have to pay to see specialist?

I’ve just increased to 3 pumps of Lenzetto to hopefully help with awful hip pain and other joints, I much prefer it to estradot, so much better for me! X

Wonderful news Salad, did you manage to get the testosterone prescribed on the NHS or is it still private consultation only? Xxx

I know I’m lucky but I’ve actually been seeing a GP at my surgery who has qualified as a Menopause Specialist.

I’m on such a high dose of Oestrogen as I don’t absorb well and couldn’t get my levels up high enough to feel well. I have previously been seen at Nick Panay’s NHS Clinic at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and started the Estradot 200 mcg then.

The Lenzetto was added by the GP to try and raise my Oestrogen level. The GP liaised with a Colleague (Tim Hilliard) to discuss my case. He said no more than three sprays of Lenzetto and to add in the Testosterone. I am now feeling a lot better and my levels are being monitored closely. All of the drugs are prescribed by my GP.

So good to hear some reviews of Lenzetto! I’m hoping that will be recommended at my Newson clinic appt as I’ve tried everything else and just cannot get my levels up! I was in 5mg Sandrena and they barely got above 500 still with lots of symptoms

Sounds like good menopause care Salad, great to hear.

What kinds do symptoms were you still experiencing prior to starting the lenzetto? I only ask as I don’t know what to put up and what could be sorted with additional Oestrogen. Things like early waking, heart palpitations and anxiety. I think it’s low oestrogen still. I’m on evorel 75 and utrogestan.

😀

The GP is amazing - she wanted face to face appointments rather than phone calls, but even her phone calls are unrushed and positively pleasant

My symptoms were feeling ‘ill’, very dry hair, bleeding gums, palpitations, breast pain, fatigue and sweating. Generally feeling miserable. The blood level was 195 and I’ve been told 300-400 is a better level to aim for on HRT, although symptom control is the best way of knowing treatment is effective.
Maybe try a higher dose and see if your symptoms improve?

It’s so hard to get things sorted isn’t it.  ::)

I use 6 sprays of Lenzetto plus gel, patch and tablets.  I’m a poor absorber and been very ill for the last 2 1/2 years from peri menopause.  It may be very high dose but not if you don’t absorb.

I do know from all of my research that Lenzetto is weak compared to gel but again it will also come down to how well we absorb, there can be a tenfold difference in absorption between us.  Dr Kewis and Dr Newson did a video for GP’s which is interesting.

I was reminded by my menopause doctor yesterday that I’m only replacing what I have lost with my Estrogen, it’s not a drug it’s our hormone.

Has your Specialist discussed the option of Oestrogen pellets with you Floo? That was going to be my next step if my current treatment didn’t work out.
I really feel for you - I was allergic to tablets and absorbed gel too quickly so patches/spray are my only options. My worry with pellets would be there’s no knowing how you’d react, but when you feel so bad you do try pretty much anything.
Glad you’re being supported by a sympathetic Menopause doctor  :bighug:

I am considering the implant but I would have to find the money to pay privately and travel to get it plus I’m not keen because you have no control plus I’ve seen other posts where they haven’t worked.  They also run out before the next one is due so then you have to supplement with other HRT.  I’m still not better yet but finally improving, once I’m better I will give it more thought.

I used 5 spays for a while under the Newson clinic. But I thought it drove my level too high. They were happy but I wasn’t. So I dropped to 4 sprays. Felt OK but levels still high so I’m on 3 sprays now.
