Period after one year
« on: May 08, 2021, 02:13:56 PM »

I’m 55 and on utrogestan and oestrogel 1 pump twice a day.
I keep a diary and can see that I’ve had no bleeding since last May.
Last week my boobs were really sore and I’m now having some cramping and light bleeding.
Would it be advisable to speak to my GP?

Yes.  It could be a hormonal 'blip' but the GP may suggest a scan of the womb to check the depth of the lining.  Now you have to start from day 1  >:(

What a nuisance but you only count a year without bleeding if you are not on HRT. When you are on HRT you don't know when you are post menopause. Let us know what the doctor says.

Ah ok I didn’t know that. How do you know when you’re through the menopause when you’re on HRT then?

You don't unless you stop HRT to see if you are still having periods. Are you on utrogestan continuously?

It's normal to get random bleeding for the first six months of conti .How long have you been using this HRT and were you still having periods when you started it?
