Hi All
I'm nearly 5 weeks into my regime of Estrogel (started with 2 pumps but have increased in the last week to 3 pumps per day) and Vaginal Utrogestan 100mg every other night (Louise Newson's recommendation on her videos)
i have read a lot of posts on here about Utrogestan. Some say that it takes a few weeks to settle down, and others say that the irritability and tiredness just get worse the longer you're on it.
I was awake at 3am this morning feeling extremely anxious and having a mad dream in which I couldn't really react. I feel like it was a chemical induced dream - I keep having them. I eventually dropped off again at around 6am ish and woke up at 7.30. It's not so bad if I'm working from home, but otherwise I'm in bed for about 9-10 hours a night and sleeping probably for 6-7 of them a not very restful sleep. It's driving me mad.
Please can anyone tell me if things get better or should I look to do something else?
Should I up my Estrogel to 4 pumps or is the Estrogel causing the anxiety and wakefulness?
I do feel like I have a hangover and no brain left after taking the Utrogestan. I can't figure out what is causing me the problem.
I can't have the Mirena coil - had it in my late 30s and it punctured my uterus - I'm not going there again.
ps I'm 51, 2.5 years post meno.
Yours angrily and irritatedly
Candice.
All advice and experiences gratefully received.
Thankyou
