Just wanted to say many of your symptoms were the same as mine. I had strange sort of numb sensations in my legs at times, terrible creepy crawly ****ly sensations in legs which seemed to flare up and lasted what seemed like forever. I also had burning numb lips and the sensation of what I described as cobwebs being brushed over my nose. I went back and forth to the doctors for ages, had MRI (I also had the fear of MS), but everything was clear. Anxiety was always the diagnosis, never a mention of menopause at all, although I was sent to see a Physio for breathing exercises because I was diagnosed with hyperventilation syndrome, which can also cause these symptoms, and the physio said she had also suffered with tingling through her menopause. I think these odd symptoms are just not so prominently described as some others. My symptoms definately improved after menopause, but occasionally I get the ****ly leg thing (which can last for days at a time and still scares me at the time) still almost three years on. I try to tell myself it's hormones and it does always go away. If it had been the deadly disease I thought it was I would have been dead by now! It does annoy me that these symptoms are not recognised by doctors, when HRT could perhaps be prescribed sooner, and our quality of life may have been so much better. Don't suffer though, you should discuss this with your doctor, tell him your worries, and if an MRI would settle your mind, then ask for one. Symptoms dont just go away because we stop bleeding, our hormones still play up. Take care
