Hi all,
Finally had enough of waiting to find out whether I can go on HRT or not via the NHS, and sick of seeing doctors only to feel rushed, that I forget to mention all my symtpoms and subsequently, I end up leaving the GP feeling underwhelmed. I understand the docs have lots of patients to see and times are unprecedented, but I need a clam, tailored approach and I'm only going to get this if I seek a specialist privately.
I've come across a doctor who specialises in menopause and has amazing reviews in my area. Had been sort of delaying doing this for a while, but I feel things have come to a head now, and my symtpoms havee made my life unbearable to the point of contemplating the most horrible things.
Last night was the last straw, with the racing heart waking me up at 3;30 am where I've had to get out of bed, go downstairs and wait it out, only to return to bed a few hours later when the symptoms subside - it's ruining how I operate during the day, probably not helping my cortisol levels and hampering my health in general all this lack of sleep.
In saying that's no two days are the same, it's mental. So I've had enough. It's quite expensive, but I feel this is worth it and has to be done.
Never understood why my heart decides it wants to go have a boogie woogie in the early hours of the morning as opposed to during the day (sometimes happens during the day, but rare),it's so confusing and frustrating.
Anyway, that's my update, hopefully HRT might be helpful for these symptoms
Anyone find HRT has helped their heart issues, anxiety and other unusual menopausal symptoms?
I still think I'm having a heart attack for the most part, but then need to rationalise that if for all these months it was a sign of a heart attack I would've keeled over by now...Oh I dunno
