Continuous bleeding in hrt
« on: July 28, 2020, 08:02:07 AM »

Hi all, desperate for advice. On sequential hrt (esotrogel/ utrogestan) but period hasn’t stopped for 3 weeks. Getting heavier rather than lighter! Problem is, I’m due to go on family holiday TOMORROW! gp says to monitor but this doesn’t stop me considering cancelling going because I’m so heavy! 4 days into progesterone ( 200mg) -shall I increase to 300g?
Any replies/ advice really welcome!!! Thanks x

I would ask doctor before increasing dose and tell them your concerns about holiday.hope this helps, someone with much more knowledge may come along to help you more.

Thank you, but he didn’t seem interested in offering any short term solution - merely just to monitor what happens...!!

Hi Smatt

I hope the bleeding has eased and you went on holiday! Definitely something to look into on your return. Any heavy bleeding that is not normal for you should really be investigated if you are worried.
