Quality of Life is important and after all, HRT does not have to be forever though if it eases symptoms why stop? Do read the threads about vaginal atrophy and bladder problems: forewarned and all that.
As oestrogen levels drop the body may become dry: inside and out; deep in the ears, scalp, skin, vagina, nostrils, between the toes ....... as well as muscles may become lax = aches and pains. It ain't called The Change for nowt

. VA often begins with regular urine infection-type symptoms which GPs tend to over-prescribed anti-biotic therapy. Again, they don't seem to be aware of it!
