Bees are rare so we don't do any pointing. The house was built in 1968 so has a few holes in the grout which aren't a problem the surrounding cement is firm to touch. The chimney gets pointed so that it doesn't get blown off the roof
.
No bees need exterminating
unless they R a danger to passers by. Pest companies are often keen to blast nests with nasty chemicals in order to get paid, where there is often no need. Bees will continue to build a nest until they swarm when a queen mayB left behind with a small 'family'. Wasps build a nest, die in the cold weather and never return.
We had a bumble bee nest under our shed 2 years ago I spent hours watching them ........ the wasps built a nest in the grape vine which DH found when picking grapes
. Of course, wasps like grapes
. We gave the nest to the play group.
Leave well alone ?
