Oh my sweetheart, I know exactly how you feel. My peri hormonal fluctuations made me feel suicidal at times, too. Other people simply Do. Not. Get. It.
People witter on about yoga? Mindfulness? Aromatherapy? Exercise? Don't make me f* cking laugh. Nothing helps, nothing touches it. It is visceral and vile.
I won't bore you with my tale, but I finally (after three years of utter misery) found the HRT which worked 4 pumps + 100mg Utro X 7 days per month + sertraline. It cured me.
Up until then I wasn't taking enough oestrogen to stop the fluctuations + I was being given too much progesterone which negated most of the oestrogen anyway.
I believe (and Prof Studd told me) that for severely progesterone intolerant women like us the trick is to take as much oestrogen necessary to make you feel good BALANCED by as little progesterone you can get away with, just enough to keep your endometrium healthy.
And yes, yes, yes I too would have walked naked down Oxford Street if it would have cured me.
Try and have a read of Oestrogen Matters by Dr Avrum Blooming, it's incredible. We have been SO misled about the dangers of oestrogen and HRT.
