Elleste Duet strange sensations

Hello,

I've just started taking Elleste Duet 1mg as of today but have started to get some strange feelings in my body.... like random tingles in my hands and head.

Is this a common thing or should I stop taking this medication immediately?

Hi Chooklady - depending how long you have been without oestrogen and which product you are taking - sequi or conti - you are very likely to experience initial side effects as your body "wakes up" to getting oestrogen in this form, and possibly also due to the progestogen. Do give it time and hopefully the tingles will disappear. I think the only reason to stop is if you get sudden sever heacache or migraine with aura for the first time - although headaches are also common when starting HRT and at different points in the cycle ( if you are on a cycle). Do check out the patient information leaflet for the full details.

Hopefully these feelings will disappear and you will achieve the benefits you are seeking.
