That depends how much you use! The comparison sites will tell you how much per unit. Electric £52 but gas is a bargain at £0  ;D

Oh £90 isn't bad then.  We did compare before we switched.  I suppose it depends how much you have your heating on etc.  I couldn't sit in the cold though, however many layers I have on.

If its not switched on it doesn't cost anything - that I do know  ;)
Yes it does, there's a daily charge as well as unit cost. It's one of the things I like about oil CH and woodburning stoves they don't cost when they're off.

That's only true if you have a 'zero standing charge' tarrif.  Check your bills to find out.

Depends on the size of the house and your insulation etc. I currently pay £69 a month and i am well in credit. That is for a 2 bedroom period terraced house in London.

We don't have gas.  My OH tells me we pay £50 something a month for electric.  We have solar panels so we get free daytime electricity.   We have oil central heating and had 500 litres delivered this morning which was £261.

Our house is always lovely and warm as we have big windows with lots of light and sunshine which warms the rooms.  we also have BIG radiators, loft insulation, cavity wall insulation and double glazing.

You never put the heating on?   What about when you have a shower?
