Testosterone Every Day / Every Other Day?
« on: September 13, 2019, 10:47:01 AM »

Hi, apologies if I have asked this before.

I'm just wondering if you use testosterone each day or every other day?

I know it's best to rotate site to avoid any hair growth.

If testosterone is used every other day does it still have the same benefits?

Thanks x

Hi Bobidy - I use it every other day, sometimes only twice per week. I'm well post meno and only on roughly 25mcg patch so I really feel it if I overuse it. I'm sure other ladies will have different stories as, with hormones, individual absorption, body weight, other hormones used all play a part in its effects.

Hi it depends which testosterone I've got. If it's Tostran I use 1 pump every other day. If it's Testogel sachets I use every day and a sachet lasts me 7/10 days.

I put it on my inner forearm and rub in with the other forearm. No hair growth or side effects xx

Hi Bobody - yes you ( and others) have asked this question before and I answered about the frequency elsewhere. Basically dosing depends on the type and concentration of the T brand being used.

Please look at this thread:
https://www.menopausematters.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,45177.0.html

That one particuarly links to other threads with most of the info you need. I've bumped them again and yours!...

If you still have any further Qs please do ask!

Kiltgirl that is a very low dose of oestrogen to be using along with testosterone. Have you had either levels measured and especially testosterone. You have to be careful so as not to tip the balance to far in favour of T. Androgenic effects can take some weeks/months to become apparent.

In the UK we only have access to testosterone products for men so they are stronger than Androfemme, hence the need to use it less often. Also on Tostran every other day.

Thanks Hurdity - I've been using T gel for a number of years now - no penis, so far.

;D

I use a tiny blob of testogel every other day as I started to feel aggressive.

Me too, use very small amount now. Defo helps with clarity and energy.

Dotty, for how long do you use it on your forearms now?  No extra hair there?

My thighs got hairy very soon, and now stomach too, .. On it nearly three years now.

Have been afraid of that myself as only on 25mcg oestradiol patch & T has just been prescribed for me too.  At first sign of sprouting an Edwardian beard, expecting undies to crawl into the laundry basket or giving the finger to other motorists, it's going straight in the bin!

Hahaha - I've not noticed any such personality changes or feel the need to lie on the sofa, scratching my nether regions whilst watching 24/7 sport, but I'll keep you posted! Do go easy on it. I used to be on much higher E dose and like you, am now on 25 patch so had to taper down my T to suit. It defo made a difference with libido, clarity of thought and energy.
