Hi ladies,
My name is Karen and I just turned 47 yesterday.
I haven't given much thought to the menopause until recently. For a while I think I've been suffering with some symptoms, which I have only recently put together and come up with the conclusion I may be postmenopausal.
I won't bore you with the whole gamut of symptoms. But the one that bugs me the most is the fact that I'm quite often completely shattered and feel like I'm coming down with the flu.
I went to see a GP earlier this year and said I thought I was here. He said it sounded that way, that there are no tests they can do, that you get HRT after you've come out the other side of the menopause, that there is nothing they can do to help me and that I'm a woman and I need to just deal with it.
So how do I help myself? I take dong quai, ferroglobin, work out 3-5 times per week, try to get rest, eat lots of fruit and veg. What else can I do or take to try to help?
Thanks,
Karen
