Hi ladies, I'm not taking hrt, but I'm curious to know, as you've all been taking it for some time, is it not working? You say waiting for a miracle, do you mean it's not working, or just part working? Which symptoms are you still getting?

I did take hrt for just a couple of months but came off it due to terrible side effects. Also, when I had a scan to check womb lining after the short time on hrt, I was told I had a small fibroid, the gynae said it was nothing to worry about as small and hrt causes fibroids to grow. I'm wondering if I should have that checked out?

15 years. I was on the same HRT up until 2 years ago when it was discontinued.  Since then have been struggling to find another regime that works for me 😞 x

I started pretty low and worked my way up slowly to Estradot 75 and cyclical Utrogestan with few side effects but also no improvements. At that level my low grade anxiety, flushes and early awakenings/adrenaline surges/massive heat stopped but cognitive issues/brain fog, exhaustion and aches and pains were still as bad as ever. In fact I think I became post-meno about 9 months into the HRT and the exhaustion ramped up. I decided to see a specialist at that stage and we discovered low absorption is the problem so I have massively increased the dose and added testosterone to see if it helps. Oestrogen and testosterone levels are now good but improvments are proving to be veeeeerrrrry slow  .

I've been on HRT now for 2yrs & 4 months, having started on Everol 25mg 6 weeks after my total hysterectomy now on 100mg and doing ok, still get slight anxiety, brain fog, woolly head but nothing that is too horrendous, just need my prescription for testosterone now!

Only 6 weeks so far on Evorel Conti half patches. So far I have noticed no difference and had no side effects. I tried applying 1 full patch to see if I'd get sudden side effects but nothing happened. Follow up appt. in July.

I've been on HRT for nearly 5 years.  I've been on every kind imaginable until I went to a private consultant and finally realised that my problems with HRT were progesterone related.  I seem to have finally hit the right formula (for me) and without HRT, I honestly don't believe I'd still be working in the job I'm in.  It's been a life-saver.
