What can I do regarding cyclical HRT and a holiday?
« on: February 12, 2019, 07:18:04 AM »

I'm going on holiday on the same day I'm due to finish my 14 days on Utrogestan. I will start my period the following day.
I have asked my gp for 2 packs next month so I should have enough tablets to take them for more days.
My question is. Should I have a 3 week gap before so I'm i
Taking my 14 days on the tablets whilst away or should I continue
And extend my tablets for 21 days.
Will I end up a bloated mess?

I'm hoping this makes sense 🤔

Are you peri or meno? If meno I'd agree, either have a long cycle or miss one out. If peri it depends what your body is doing. I've starting bleeding before the end of the prog phase, it's also got messed up when my body's cycle got out of step with the HRT cycle (natural cycle is around 6 weeks so I use a 6 wk HRT cycle now). If you're still cycling naturally it might be easier in the long run to stick to that cycle. I haven't tried using prog for longer (I get dopey on it) so not sure what would happen.
