Hiya ladies. I have been so caught up in the psychological symptoms I've been suffering that I've kind of put the physical symptoms to one side. 

But..Doc  gave me estriol 0.01 for VA.been on it 3/4 weeks. Gradually have noticed increased breast pain. Don't know if it's a coincidence. (I'm on systemic hrt as well but i started that 5 months ago and this is recent

With the estriol I haven't been able to reduce from loading dose for more than a day at a time as symptoms just come back but I didn't use it ast night and I feel the breast pain is easier today. .

In my late 30s I had multiple cysts in both breasts and suffered breast pain which the doc at breast clinic told me would get easier with age and he was right 
Now it's back.
I don't want to tell the doc cause I'm petrified  they'll take me off the systemic Hrt but also I'd hate to have to sacrifice treating my VA. Could the estriol cause it?

I should add I had clear mammogram last summer.

I had breast pain for 4/5 weeks when I started the oestrogel as I built it up and then it stopped as the hormones built up and levelled out and it hasn't been back.  You are still very early days with your gel Tc isn't that right?  It is likely to be something like that rather than your topical oestrogen for VA.

Are you saying that you have felt a cyst since starting the treatment or that you fear you will grow more?

Hiya. Thanks for the replies ladies. The cysts have never gone away just could always feel them more certain times of the month. Which isnt unusual for lots of women But the pain decreased as I got older as doc said it would. Didn't realise it art time but he must've meant hormones

Since my own cycle is no longer in play I guess it must be side effect hrt. I didn't notice it on the patches for a long time. But I felt better on the last week of the patches which might suggest they were finally working and the pain started a few days before that. Because I'd just started the estriol I guess I thought it might be that. It's not the eadtrogel as I've only just started that

. Maybe I was just panicking as I read something about ladies with a history of benign breast cysts using hrt with caution (on a website about eastrogen therapy(. It doesn't say it on my leaflet tho. Think  I might have let my fear run away with me the last few days.

I can put up with it if it means the hrt is working I always had hard swollen painful breasts with my own cycle when I was younger into my mid 40's anyway so maybe it's an indication that my hormone levels are finally on the up.if not balanced yet.
As you can see feeling a bit more rational tonight☺

Sore breasts.  Indigestion/reflux.  But I'm sleeping OK  .

Cysts can certainly be hormonal.  Does pain relief ease it?

CLKD. Good to hear you are sleeping o.k.
About pain relief for breast pain. When I was young (er) I was given something called DICOFLEX don't know if I spelt it right but it realy did help. I haven't googled it cos I'm trying to be less anxious and googly!!

Do you find any pain relief helpful? I see you are still suffering from it.

Thank you stellajane. My last namogramme was clear apart from the cysts which they don't seem worried about.

Hello Tc,

A wise and experienced friend of mine who is a Registered Nurse told me that 'after two weeks a wall of new cells are built up in the vagina, a process called cornification, and the systemic absorption is really, really small and your symptoms should go away.  The sore breasts are definitely a probable response in the first two weeks where there is systemic absorption.'

Aren't cysts very common? I'm forever getting them,major panic attack when I first found them but specialist said anything sinister would be quite hard and stuck to the spot,whereas cysts kinda move about under the fingers , I used to get them drained but apparently there's no need
