Thanks for replying Hurdity. Yes I understand that it may not be good practice to discuss experiences with particular specialists on an open forum, thought maybe they could pm me.
In fairness to my gp she has been fairly helpful and sympathetic but as she said ive been going to her for nearly a year now and we are no further on. She was gojng to refer me to a menopause specialist at the local hospital but I havent received an appointment so far.
In view if my financial situation I dont think Ì have a lot of choice, I will probably have to hold on for an nhs appt. Its just sometimes I feel so desperate for some improvement in the way I feel, Ive no support at home (i havent got a partner ) and dont know anyone else irl who is having these struggles with the peri menopause x
