Anterior Prolapse and Vagifem.
« on: May 03, 2018, 12:34:09 PM »

Hi All

I have just had a anterior prolapse repair completed (last week) and was told how thin my tissues were by the surgeon. I have been using Vagifem 3 times a week and wondering now whether it is doing any good!
Does anyone also know when I should be able to re-start using the vagifem after the Op? Obviously very swollen and sore at the moment. I did ask Nurses but they said they didnt know!!
Any other remedys for the dryness gratefully recieved x

It's probably a case of not enough Vagifem rather than it not working at all, I need to use it daily and a lady GP at my practice said she was happy to prescribe five times a week to all her ladies as that was equivalent to the old dose.

You could contact your consultants secretary and see if she can ask him about the Vagifem usage.

I use it daily and don't  insert right up anymore as a lot of my issues were externally so now I insert halfway up aimed at tummy.  Maybe you could start by  just inserting a tiny bit? X
