I agree, do not take sertraline. It can be very stimulating. If things don't settle down with the HRT and the insomnia continues then consider pregabalin, it is sedative, non addictive and can be used long term.

Who told you to increase the dose ? The specialist or the GP?
And who said you are not absorbing the meds? The specialist or the GP?
Just trying to understand what's going on so we can help you x

Thank you to everyone for your replies.
My Consultant told me to increase my Testosterone and Eostrogen as they were undetectable after the last bloods
My G.P increased the Progesterone of her own volition and without consultation to my Consultant and my levels being fine. The reason being she was concerned I wasn't absorbing oral tablets vaginally, despite no evidence.
I refused to take ther Sertraline as I wouldnt have known if the HRT was working. G.P. refused to prescribe sleepig tablets and prescribed over the counter Nytol instead, which frankly did nothing. My sleep is now that I am awake from 2.00am. I am like the walking dead.
Thank you for the advice on Pregabalin. I could cope with all the other symptoms of I could just sleep.
I've emailed my Consultant but owong to the Easter holiday won't get a reply until at least next Monday. Will try my G.P again tomorrow.

Vaginal progesterone is absorbed more effectively to the uterus than the same dose when taken orally so your GP has not read the research. And - it's the same capsule. I have posted summaries of a few papers about this on here regularly and will dig out the post if you want me to.
If you have been taking the Cerazette for contraception then you will need presumably to use some other method - and this isn't provided by the utrogestan but yes still a lot of prog!
Let us know the outcome of your contact with Nick Panay and also how the Androfemme works. I'm interested that he prescribed this rather than the usual unlicensed Tesosterone gels available for men and I presume because it has been specially formulated for women (even though also unlicensed in UK) - although creams can be less well absorbed than gels?
