NHS menopause specialists
« on: February 07, 2018, 02:40:08 PM »

Hello

I've suggested a new patient group to my GP surgery (they're quite proactive) specifically aimed at menopausal women as I've had an horrendous time and they basically didn't have a clue what to do with me.

I mentioned I thought there were some NHS meno specialists and they'd never heard of them. I'm down near Brighton and was wondering if anyone knew who the NHS specialists are so I can let them know. I really want to pursue it just to pass some help on to others.

Thanks

What a fab idea. Why not contact your local hospital to see if there is a gynae there who can advice? This site has almost everything you need for info and support and Dr Currie may offer up some advice? Maybe contact Emma( site administrator)  to see what she would advice.  DG x

Hi ricekrispie, if you look at the top of the page there's a link 'Specialists' which allows you to search for menopause specialists, both private and NHS, anywhere in the country. I've just had a quick look though and it looks like the nearest NHS ones to you would be either London or Portsmouth.

Also I think the info in that section may be out of date judging by the date on some of the areas... you might be better off by googling or at least trying that as well?
