I am totally peed off
Trying to locate estrogel is like trying to find a golden ticket ! Tried a dozen pharmacies and they don't have it and it's not on system to order just oestrodose. 2 told me that is the only type now. So what do I do now ? Spoke to doctors need to make a new appointment which luckily I got a cancellation on Monday morning. I now have to decide what to try next and what is easier to get hold of as all this is stressing me out. X

Your GP needs to know. Have you spoken to
Boots
or
Lloyds Pharmacy
who seem to be tied-in with many Surgeries!

Yes CLKD I tried boots, Lloyds, asda, Well and numerous smaller chemists with no joy. I can't be dealing with this every time, I need something that's more easily to get hold of. I might ring round tomorrow to find out what they do have in stock.

That is so frustrating
When I was told I could not have Estradot by my pharmacy - I rang the manufacturer. Perhaps that is something you could try, to find out if they are still making Oestrogel and how you can get hold of it.
Good luck

Oh hi mamachunk
I've just seen this. I don't suppose you have them anymore.
I was surprised when I received a phone call from one of the gps at my surgery on Friday evening. I told him the problem I was having with the oestrodose so he has done me a prescription for evorel. Let's hope this is easier to get my hands on.x

Oh I don't like the sound of this I need to get my prescription filled this week even though it says on my prescription not Oestrodose they have been known to try and give it to me .
According to them there is no difference between the two
I will keep you updated.

Is this all about saving the NHS money? Is Oestrodose cheaper perhaps?
I buy my Oestrogel equivalent (Oestraclin) in Spain and it has recently doubled in price from about €4.60 to nearly €10.00. I wonder if there has been a price hike in the UK hence the difficulty in getting hold of genuine Oestrogel?
