Yes, I'm sure the low oestrogen is still causing most of the trouble - I was on Evorel 50 for 3 months, then blood test showed still only <44 so the dose was doubled. That test also showed that my testosterone level was <0.1 so I was prescribed Testogel to use alongside the Evorel. Frustratingly (and very puzzlingly) that seems to cause really bad depression in me - have now tried twice and after a week of 5mg a day i feel near suicidal. I can't find anyone else who's had this reaction or any professional who can shed any light, but it means I've had to give up on testosterone for the time being, really disappointing as I have every symptom of deficiency in the book :-\

Sorry to hear this racjen. Although T is supposed to help with depression that is a result of low T, from what I gather the usual advice is to ensure that you have achieved a decent level of oestrogen before introducing testosterone - even if it's low, so maybe this is what is causing those symptoms - ie the balance was tipped too much towards testosterone giving those side effects?

Sounds like you are wise to stop it for the moment and best to concentrate on increasing oestrogen first for a few weeks (months?) and then perhaps try again if you are still experiencing the symptoms?

Yes I think you're right - I'm going to concentrate on getting my oestrogen levels up, and leave the testosterone for the time being. I really can't face anything else interfering with my mood right now.
