Menopause Newbie
« on: October 07, 2017, 01:09:29 PM »

Hi my name is Jean age 50 1/2, just started HRT Femoston 1/10 three weeks in, thought I was doing well but low mood kicked in today not good sleep last night, I suppose I have to give it time to work (peri). Worried about risks but I suppose this is natural also. First post so sorry if going over old stuff xx can I ask will it be the pogestorone that is making me feel like this?

Yes, it does take time to settle.  Some pmt type symptoms are typical through the progesterone phase of any HRT - nothing will be perfect but if the benefits outweigh any side effects then you are doing OK.
Risks are very, very small but the benefits are many - just remember that you bones and heart will be helped by this HRT.

Thank you dancinggirl for taking the time to reply , I appreciate it. In a house full of men ( husband & Sons) mother no longer with us and having 4 brothers & no sisters doesn't give me anybody to ask  :)
