Hi amandax, I'm a newbie too, so sorry to hear what you've been going through. I agree there's grieving to be done when going through changes, I hope you can find some support and a level of meds that suits you. Oestrogel sounds like a good option. Good luck

Thank you again for all your replies amd help.
I have made a gp appointment ( not available for 2 weeks) and my plan is to tell her I have spoken to other women who have told me about estrogel and the implant -which in time I think would be so much easier for me. My plan then is to.ask her to refer me to a menopause specialist which I'm sure will.take time too.
So in the mean time I will ask her again about bloods but I'm.not hopeful she will know what to do! But if I get referred to a specialist that will be a big plus and make me feel better. Even if I can understand a bit more of what's going on and what the future plan is.
So I hope the appointments will come soonish and I can get started. In the mean time, fresh air, gentle exercise and being good to myself to the idea for now.

Good news - all you need to ask for re blood tests is estradiol and stress that you want to know if you are absorbing it sufficiently from the HRT, due to symptom recurrence (can't see what these are now as over the page)? There is no point in their testing FSH or LH I wouldn't have thought.
