« on: June 09, 2017, 07:17:38 PM »

Hi All

Have been on the combined femoston 1/10 for 9 months. I am 50 but now starting to feel some flushes and anxiety coming back..should I try upping my dose when I next see my Doctor...just feel it is no longer helping as much. xxxx

Hi there riverrunsfree - if this dose is not working for you ie not controlling your flushes then it sounds like asking to try the higher dose is a good idea! It may well be that you are not absorbing it very well, or your own oestrogen levels have dropped?

I'm on week 4 of the 2/10 after being on 1/10 for three months when it helped but not much. 2/10 much better. Had dire VA symptoms in the first week - but probably had cystitis - since then getting better and better.

I was on 1/10 for about a year then I went up to 2/10 as felt few blips rearing, was on that dose for few months and felt brilliant, so full of energy, no anxiety just felt amazing! but then had the most horrendous headaches, thought my head was going to explode with pain and pressure (and I'm no stranger to headaches ) but this wow, so I had to go back to 1/10.

Thanks Ladies...wow..looks like it is all a question of trial and error. In terms of VA i belive that systemic HRT is not really the thing...I take Ovestin cream once/twice a week and that sorts it all out to perfection.Riverrunsfreexxx

Sadly there are quite a few of us whose VA is not sorted by local oestrogen alone :(

Yes i agree with the change in dosage idea. There are chances that your estrogen levels have dropped or is not absorbing well.
