Strange side effects ?
« on: March 13, 2017, 10:49:32 PM »

Hello everyone - I'm another newbie.
I'm looking for some advice really. I've been using Evorelle 100 mg patches since December - mainly for anxiety. They have worked a treat BUT I'm getting an extremely uncomfortable burning/ stinging sensation down below ( as my grandmother would say). When I cut the patches in half or 3/4 this sensation goes away - but anxiety comes back with a vengeance. I'm sure I've read a similar thing somewhere else on this forum - but can't find it now. I've also tried different brands of patches - same problem . Has anyone heard of this or got any ideas that could help ?

I would ask my GP for vaginal atrophy treatment to use down there as well as the Evorelle you are using because as oestrogen levels drop then the body may become dry: deep in the ears, skin, vagina, nostrils ........

Thank you for your replies but I'm not sure that's the problem.
I've been examined by a specialist who says I don't have atrophy - and swabs taken - no infection. He said he couldn't see any dryness - but could dryness actually be seen ?? I have been using a lubricant called YES which has been helpful a bit - but I can't sit down at work ( don't laugh) have to use a kneeling chair to sit any length of time.
In summary I am a part time member of 'the burning club'- remove patches - no more burn ??
I'm very puzzled ? But it's lovely to have somewhere to discuss cos I have to pretend I've got a bad back at work !!
