Racing heart
« on: February 15, 2017, 07:50:57 PM »

I tend to have a racing heart and lot. The last 2 nights I've had it during the night as well. I am on HRT but have slightly reduced my estrogel. I'm wondering if it could be this or not.

Hi there.
As i understand .....when our Oestrogen drops we kick off Adrenaline to help componsate.......why did you reduce? Symptoms perhaps or your choice but it could be the cause.....otherwise diary the episodes then ask gp advice.
Hope it helps

You are right. Tonight I'm using the usual amount (2 pumps) and continuing that to see if it helps. I just got it into my head to try to come down 🤔

Yes it was probably a result of reducing your dose  :)

A 'racing' heart rate is something I get when my oestrogen level is low - the first time I had it, it was also accompanied by feeling faint/dizzy. Once any cardiac related issue was ruled out my HRT dose was increased. Recently I had a return of the high heart rate despite being on high dose patch but it looks like it was due to poor absorption.

Maybe stick with your 2 pumps  :D
