Sorry, sorry, sorry.....
« on: January 13, 2017, 03:34:44 PM »

I'm so sorry, haven't been on here for ages and had managed to lose my log-in details to boot!  I have visited several times just as a guest but having a clear-out at work the other day and voila - there they were  :)

I won't go into long, boring details but life is pretty good at the moment and for anyone out there really struggling I guess I'm one of the lucky ones.  I have managed to successfully come off my HRT with no side-effects and other than the odd temperature fluctuation (not really a hot flush) I've been ok.  I did ask my OH to let me know if he thought I was acting strangely again but so far so good.  I've also lost almost 4 stone in weight going down from a size 18 to size 12 so feeling much happier about myself in general.

Sadly lost one of our much-loved hounds back in October - he was diagnosed with mesothelomia back in the summer and was back and forth to a specialist vet.  They originally thought he would respond well to chemo but after two doses he gave up the fight.

I've been trying to keep up with posts, especially some of the longer ones but too many to go back and comment on now so please accept my apologies for not posting before this.

So pleased to hear from you.  It is good to hear when ladies have managed to cope and 'recover' from The Change.

Sorry about your hound ......... we can do so much but when Nature takes over, if we had £M1 there comes a time when we need to say 'goodbye' - now at Rainbow Bridge running free  :bighug:

Thank you ladies, couldn't have done without my wonderful menopause nurse at our practice and of course my lovely husband.  Weened off my tablets very gradually and 3 months down the line I must say I feel absolutely fine.  Nurse did agree that if I had any problems I could go straight back on it which was nice to know.
