I just wondered if any one experience this weird pain in the ear, It occurs now and again , when asleep feels like my ear is red hot and so painful on the outer ear,have to lay on other side takes a few minutes to cool down had this off and on for about 8yrs.
I am 55 and only have missed periods for last 4ths now so not yet classed as menopause ,love to hear other peoples experiences ,and how they dealt with it and whether you have had a professional diagnoses .

Thank you MenoMale that was interesting reading but i think we can rule out red ear ,as my ear only hurts when laying on it,.
But can lay on same ear another night and nothing ,think its just one of these weird things in life .
